Travelling to Mullingar from the Dublin direction:

M4/N4
From Dublin take the N4 signposted The West. Proceed on the M4.

Through the Toll – proceed on the M4, by-passing Enfield and then Kinnegad. When by-passing Kinnegad you come to the Interchange with the turnoff for the Galway Road. Stay on the M4 toward Sligo.

The M4 then continues on as the N4. You will pass Mullingar Pewter on your left as you come near to Mullingar.

Directions approaching Mullingar:

Take the first exit (slipway) off the Mullingar By-Pass. Where the N4 meets the N52. This will be sign-posted Tullamore and Mullingar Town.

When you turn left at the top of the slipway you will see the Mullingar Park Hotel on your right.

You will then come to a roundabout. Proceed straight through the roundabout which is sign-posted Tullamore. (This is the new ring road around Mullingar.)

Follow this road for approximately 2 miles – passing through 3 more roundabouts. At the third roundabout take the 2nd exit. Mullingar Athletic Club is not in Rochfortbridge, it is located on the R400 – Rochfortbridge Road, not far outside Mullingar. On the map it appears as if the N52 joins the R400 directly, but the R400 is a bridge over the N52 and the access is further down the road back towards Mullingar.

Take the next left – sign-posted Rochfortbridge (R400). This turn left is approximately 300 yards after the roundabout and quite a dangerous junction, as the road curves back, so take it handy.

You will cross over the N52 about 250 yards up this road. Follow this road for about a mile (passing a turn on the right, passing another turn on the left, and a school on the right). Just after the school and on the right you arrive at the Grounds of Mullingar Athletic AFC.
